ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT POLICY FOR JRL

It is the environmental management policy of JRL to:
• Develop, implement and maintain an environmental management system to identify assess and control environmental hazards / risk to base low as reasonably practicable (ALAP) and in compliance with all relevant legislation.
• Investigate the impact of our operations on the environment with a view to reduce the effects, institute and implement corrective actions.
• Manage all renewable and non-renewable natural resources to ensure sustainability, conservation and balance with the socio-economic needs.
• Eliminate, prevent or limit pollution incidents and ensure complete remediation in the events of incidents.
• Conduct our activities to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship with our host communities.
• Implement a comprehensive waste management system to an environmental acceptable standard.
• Execute all our projects in compliance with relevant environmental policies and standards.
• Regular collate record, review and report environmental data.
